Official test acts, scientific reports, and independent studies of the KOROVSKI system's effectiveness
The KOROVSKI system, introduced during industrial research at the Kuban State Agrarian University and independently tested in agricultural complexes in Russia, Belarus, and other countries, has demonstrated high sensitivity, specificity, and proven economic efficiency.
From June 1, 2023, to November 20, 2025, an evaluation of the effectiveness of the KOROVSKI system was conducted at Dairy Farm No. 3 of the Kuban State Agricultural University. This report contains the results of three stages of the study. During the first stage of the study, laboratory test data using the California Mastitis Test (CMT) and the DeLaval somatic cell counter were compared with KOROVSKI system data on the date of SCM detection. During the second stage of the study, the comparison of laboratory test data using the California Mastitis Test (CMT) and the DeLaval somatic cell counter and their comparison with KOROVSKI system data was continued. The sensitivity and specificity of the KOROVSKI system were also assessed, demonstrating that it detects SCM at earlier stages of its development compared to laboratory diagnostic methods. In the third stage of the study, the KOROVSKI system data served as the primary data. Based on these data, cattle from the experimental group were selected for further prophylaxis to reduce the incidence of clinical mastitis compared to the control group. Based on the results of these three stages, the economic impact of using the KOROVSKI system at Dairy Farm No. 3 of the Kuban State Agricultural University was determined.
From June 6, 2025, to August 31, 2025, the effectiveness of drug-based prophylaxis of subclinical mastitis (hereinafter referred to as SCM) was assessed using data from the KOROVSKI system. The study sample consisted of 124 cows, divided equally into experimental and control groups. In the experimental group (62 cattle), clinical mastitis prophylaxis was carried out using data from the KOROVSKI system, which assessed the risks of SCM. The control group (62 cattle) did not undergo clinical mastitis prophylaxis based on KOROVSKI data and was instead maintained and operated in accordance with the current technological regulations of Milking Farm No. 3 of the Kuban State Agricultural Farm of the Kuban State Agricultural University.
From February 1, 2025, to June 5, 2025, a comparison of laboratory diagnostic data and the KOROVSKI system was conducted during its operational use at Dairy Farm No. 3 of the Kuban State Agricultural University. A total of 7,257 tests were performed over 125 days on 123 cattle from the experimental and control groups. During the study, milk samples were collected for the California Mastitis Test (CMT) and their analysis using a DeLaval somatic cell analyzer (DCC) from Sweden. Data obtained from the KOROVSKI system were also compared with the California Mastitis Test (CMT), the DeLaval somatic cell analyzer (DCC), and data from the Afifarm Herd Management Program (Israel).
On June 17, 2025, four Simmental cattle, previously selected for the COWOW rapid diagnostic system, were examined at the Yalama Agropark livestock complex. This resulted in a total of four diagnostic cases. The animal health reports from Yalama Agropark livestock complex staff at the time of the examinations were used as control data. The actual health data of the animals was not previously known to the COWOW staff conducting the examinations. The agreement between the diagnoses based on the COWOW system data and the reports of the Yalama Agropark livestock complex veterinarian was 100%.
In the period from October 7, 2023 to December 31, 2023, a comparative analysis of laboratory diagnostic data and the KOROVSKI system was carried out at dairy farm No. 3 of the Kuban State Agricultural University, and a high level of agreement was established.
In the period from June 5, 2023 to October 6, 2023, employees of Spectral Dynamic Systems LLC, Moscow, together with specialists from the Medical and Technical Factory No. 3 of the Kuban State Agricultural University, tested the KOROVSKI system and obtained initial positive results.
From December 23, 2019 to November 1, 2020, a production study entitled "Experimental Development of the COWOW System" was conducted at the SIA Agro-Kakenieki farm in Latvia. This study was a necessary intermediate and important stage in the overall development of the COWOW automatic sensory diagnostic system for subclinical mastitis in cattle.
